Time is our friend

School, work and motherhood keep me busy, so finding time for my various talents and artistic passion calls for a little strategic maneuvering.

Right now I'm working on a comic book, doing a little photo journalism as a personal art project, working on a few website mock-ups
I have learned to use several devices to assist me, in my progress in life.
Calendars
A structured calendar system works wonders for us non conformists. I hate time constraints, so wearing a watch, I found makes me anxious. However, it’s not very realistic to think that time will wait for me.
After all, time is not only money it’s our friend. Twice a month or weekly I update my yahoo calendar which sends reminders to my phone, free of charge.
List Making
I keep a steno pad handy and at least three types of writing tools. The reason for the different writing instruments is due to weather, the weather affects certain pens, movement and angles of writing also my mood changes and the feel of the marking instrument varies according to mood.
Note Pads
I keep a note pad at home on my nightstand and a pencil holder
I keep a steno pad and art journal I try to work on my blog, at least hand write it first in my note pad before typing it out and uploading it.
Telephones and P.D.A.’s (personal data assistant)
Alarm, calendar and reminders as well as voice recorder feature
As an artist I get an abundance of ideas so having the convenience of these things helps me to keep track of things.
Please be aware that:
I keep one pad on me at all times I date it when I start using it and date it when I stop.
I write dates on all my art. At the top of each page I date and label it according to subject. I write the words art idea, school, home, work, kids, etc.
Time is our friend if we use it to our advantage.
